Lawyers perform a variety of functions in law and justice, from building and trying criminal and civil cases in court, to drafting contracts, outlining law and establishing individual criteria in citizens' estate matters. Lawyers are hired by businesses, individuals and organizations across every field of the modern business world.

Though an education in criminal justice alone will not prepare you for employment as a lawyer, it is a good qualifier for entry into law school, which all lawyers must graduate from before passing the bar exam.
